Francisco Esparza Welding LBCC

Francisco Esparza has been in the welding program at Linn Benton for about two terms now. Francisco started out welding and fabricating but has recently shown interest in learning how to pipe weld and fit. His passion from the trade comes from an old family friend that use to take him out on job sites, where he soon fell in love with the work.

Once Francisco finishes his program at Linn Benton he is undecided on whether he wants to work for the union or start up his own welding rig and start a business fixing anything from welding brackets on a trailer to repairing any type of heavy equipment such as bulldozers or excavators. 

A tip he has for all looking into getting into the trade of welding, “I’d recommend either finding a local shop that could possibly take you in with little to no experience and slowly learn how to weld or just join the welding program and Linn Benton community college.”-Francisco Esparza
