Maria Nunez has been working as a full time O.B Surgical Tech at the Samaritan Medical Regional Center  for the last 16 and a half years. Marias primary job is to assist in emergency C-Sections. She initially started working in the medical field because of her love of helping others. Her favorite part of her job is seeing the emotions in the father's face after they see their wives give birth. "It's pure happiness and amazement after they see the baby. It's unforgettable." Her least favorite part of her job is the politics involved in health care. The biggest challenge that she has noticed at work since Covid hit back in March of 2020 has been the constant change of policies, "At the beginning of Covid, if you had Covid, you died alone. We were not allowed to allow family members to see their loved ones before they passed... No one should die alone."..."Women were only allowed one support person during deliveries, forcing them to choose between husband and mother."
